Lexington County is now producing compost made from all clean wood waste, leaves, grass clippings, and mulch (no food waste or animals by-products), originating from Lexington County. The compost is tested on a quarterly basis through the US Composting Council. Our compost received the US Composting Council Seal of Testing Assurance (STA) in July 2014 and is current and up-to-date on testing. Compost is sold by weight at $30 per ton of material.
