About Certified SC Seafood

The Certified SC Seafood program is a cooperative effort between the SC Department of Natural Resources and the SC Department of Agriculture to brand and promote South Carolina Seafood. Our goal is for consumers to easily identify, find, and buy Certified SC Seafood. The Certified SC Seafood Program is open only to South Carolina commercial fishermen, harvesters, and aquaculture farmers who directly harvest or farm seafood in South Carolina waters. At this time, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, markets, and restaurants are not eligible to apply as Certified SC Seafood members. The Certified SC Seafood program is free to join! Membership is made by application to and acceptance by the SC Department of Agriculture Marketing Department.
