- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups Adluh® all-purpose flour
- ¾ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or leave ungreased.
- In a large bowl, beat together the peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 3 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Gently flatten each cookie with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Creamy or crunchy peanut butter both work well in this recipe.
- For softer cookies, bake for 8 minutes. For crispier cookies, bake for 10 minutes.
